Bespoke Serenity: Product Spotlight
29 Jan 2021-
From professional and personal stressors to the often-chaotic and unpredictable state of the world, many of us are yearning for clarity and calm now more than ever.
Bespoke Serenity is our solution, an herbal blend crafted specifically for women to provide a sense of tranquility and contentedness, a respite to make your days better and nights more restful.
What’s In It?
Formulated with 50 mg of pure full-spectrum, hemp-derived CBD, plus vitamin D, Mununa Pruriens Seed extract (levodopa), 5-Hydroxytryptophan, Evening Primrose Oil, Chasteberry, and Black Cohosh, these vegan capsules have just what you need to maintain inner peace and overall wellness.
Our full-spectrum CBD (cannabidiol) is sourced from U.S.A.-grown hemp. CBD, one of more than 100 cannabinoids in the cannabis plant, is well-known in medical and scientific communities for its ability to support health and overall physical and psychological wellness. Each capsule contains 50 mg.
We use full-spectrum because this type of CBD provides all of the naturally-available cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and enzymes in the cannabis plant, all of which provide distinct health benefits.
It’s no coincidence that you feel happier when the sun is shining. Known as the “sunshine vitamin,” vitamin D is also well-known for its mood and immune-boosting properties. We’ve added it to Serenity because of these benefits, as well as its ability to support healthy bones and joints.
Like cannabinoids, this compound can be produced endogenously (in the body), and it’s something most of us could use more of.
Vitamin D is produced naturally when UV rays from the sun come into contact with the skin, prompting synthesis. It’s also found in certain foods, such as mushrooms, egg yolks, and fatty fish, though it is tough to get enough from diet alone.
Deficiency, which affects an estimated 1 billion people worldwide, can cause a range of ailments, including chronic fatigue, depression, a weakened immune system (and a greater risk of autoimmune disorders like Multiple Sclerosis), hair loss, and back, bone, or muscle pain. For women, a deficiency is an even greater hazard as it can increase the risk of the bone-wasting disease osteoporosis.
Most experts recommend taking a supplement, especially if you are in a high-risk group. Serenity has you covered.
Evening Primrose Oil
Evening primrose oil is a source of essential (Omega) fatty acids, healthy fats that can provide various benefits, including supporting cardiovascular and neurological wellness. Evening primrose oil, specifically, is often used to help women with pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS) or who are going through menopause.
Another happiness compound, 5-Hydroxytryptophan, helps the body produce serotonin. Known as the “happiness chemical,” this multifaceted neurotransmitter supports a sense of wellbeing and contentedness. It also impacts cognition, learning, memory, sleeping, appetite, and digestion.
Black Cohosh or Chasteberry
Black Cohosh is a flowering plant native to North America. Native Americans first discovered it more than 500 years ago, and it has since been used to support women’s health, including strong bones and healthy menstruation, and menopause. It also has anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties.
Mucuna Pruriens Seeds
An Indian ayurvedic medicine, these seeds, also known as “velvet bean” seeds, are native to Africa and tropical Asia. They’re used to support both men’s and women’s reproductive and sexual wellness, including a healthy libido and more comfortable menstruation. They may also support focus and healthy stress response.
How to Use It
CBD can benefit most people, but everybody is different. This means what works for your friend, sister-in-law, or favorite Starbuck’s barista may not work for you. However, there are a few rules of thumb.
First, and perhaps most important, we recommend starting small, with a single capsule. Use a notebook (or your Notes app) to record how you feel before and after taking your daily dose. Keep in mind it might take some time (up to several hours) to feel the effects. Weight, metabolism, what you’ve eaten that day, and other factors can affect the timeline. Similarly, some people don’t feel anything at all for the first few days. Keep taking it every day. Consistency is key to allow the body to adapt, a phenomenon known as the “cumulative effect.”
If you’re not feeling much of a difference after the first week or so, try increasing your dose and taking a second capsule each day.
Always take your capsule with food or after eating. You can take it in the morning, in the evening, or midday, whatever works best for you. One of the best benefits of a capsule is that it’s convenient and discreet.
